Paul A. Gore, Ph.D.

Dr. Gore has 16 years experience promoting the academic and career success of high school and college students. He consults with high schools, colleges, and universities in the U.S. and abroad on the development and implementation of student academic and career success programs. Dr. Gore has conducted extensive research on the factors that predict college student academic and career success and he has authored over 50 book chapters and journal articles and delivered over 100 professional presentations and invited addresses.  He holds a faculty position in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Utah where he also serves as the Director of Institutional Research and Student Success Special Projects Coordinator.

Prior to moving to Utah, Dr. Gore held a position as Director in the Research Division of ACT, Inc, a leading college admissions testing company. He is actively involved in the training and supervision of professional high school counselors and counseling psychologists. Dr. Gore holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, a M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University, an M.S. in Psychology from the University of New Orleans, and completed his undergraduate work at Saint Louis University.


Wade Leuwerke, Ph.D.

Dr. Leuwerke earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He has 11 years of experience advancing the academic and career success of students and individuals. Dr. Leuwerke consults with colleges and universities on the use of data driven strategies to increase academic performance and student retention. He has experience working with students in high school and college, as well as adults, to develop strategies for academic and career success. Dr. Leuwerke has over 30 journal articles, book chapters and presentations. His research has focused on examining college retention, career development, computer assisted career guidance systems, and the role of technology in career development processes. Dr. Leuwerke is currently an associate professor in the Counselor Education program at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa. He has experience as a project manager and research consultant to ACT, Inc., and Kuder, Inc.

A. J. Metz, Ph.D.

Consultant

Dr. Metz has a Ph.D. in Urban Education and Counseling Psychology and over 12 years of experience working to promote the academic and career success of high school and college students. She has worked as a Site Director in an urban high school student success program, a career advisor at Southern Illinois University, and as an advisor at the University of Arizona’s office of disabled student services. She has taught student success skills courses at a number of institutions including Salt Lake Community College and Southern Illinois University. Dr. Metz currently holds a faculty position in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Utah.
